It's a pain in the ass but so powerful it might as well be a hack. It's not a glitch it's merely a micro technique. That's the infinite charge trick you see in RTW and Med2. The only reason I incorporated cata into my forces was because I could micro two or three units of them.
#Dawn of war 2 maps how to
I knew more about how to defeat myself then most of the idiots I played against. I used to run mental simulations in my head. People were too stupid and horror struck when they saw my massed HA to realized that all they had to do to beat me was move forward with a wall of heavy infantry and rush my rear with light cavalry to prevent me from moving back. As I said before I used to heavily play Parthia. No, SC2 requires a whole different kind of stuff. The same skills used in SC2 MP is the same skills you use in RTW MP. if you switched a rank 1 player and a max rank player in WOW i dont think that the skilled guy could beat the noob, simply because the noob only needs to hit him once. for mmo's its more about equipment and leveling.

For shooters all i have to do is rely on my instincts, and that will get me a nice KD ratio, and RTW is about army micromanagement, army composition, faction counters and that kind of stuff.

Multitasking is not one of my strengths and when you have to micro your army, make new troops, make new bases and keep a stable economy simultaneously that can be a. im not saying it is much harder, it simply requires different qualities. i can not compare the skill requirements of SC2 to any other competitive mp. It also has co-op MP where a group of players will fight against a number of AI players unfortunately the campaign cannot be played with friends. It also has SP challenge and melee (skirmish) maps, a campaign (obviously), and ranked and un-ranked matches.

What Im wondering is how many maps are in multiplayer? Including Chaos Rising? Or is it typical THQ where they have an expansion but don't include maps from the previous game?Īnd can you play custom maps in mulitplayer? I really like Custom maps in RTS games, not those mission based ones all the time but just regular maps made by players.I don't know about DOW 2 MP but I can tell you from personal experience StarCraft 2 has custom maps in MP both mission based and "Free Form" that are all created by players. Since Im so interested in the dawn of war universe I might just buy it for single player.Īnyway previously I was turned off by Dawn of war 2 multiplayer because of the lack of base building but after watching some multiplayer videos it looks pretty good, even though the battles aren't as large as SC2 in most cases. But Im having second thoughts, don't really wanna dedicate myself to a RTS, takes time to learn it all and can't just get in and play it like a FPS. Im thinking about buying Starcraft 2, maybe even dawn of war 2.
